Ad Sense

Ok, so after Alisha has had a huge success on her AdSense gadget, she suggested I add one too! So I have! So please click on the ads when you get a chance, as I make a bit of money per click! The little extra a month would really come in handy, it could pay for my food shopping for the week, and in this time of financial stress for everyone, it will make the world of difference!! So please click when you are bored at work or surfing the net, it will only take a second, and it all adds up!! Thanks!

Ministry of Sound!!

We got some exciting news a few days ago - one of Paul's tunes he made is going to go onto the Ministry of Sound compilation CD in Australia!! I can't give away any more details, like the name of the track or when it's out, as the tracklkist has not been confirmed yet and we're not supposed to disclose the info until it's official! But that will be so great, a real boost for his profile, and a great achievement - how many people can say they have a track on Ministry album? And another source a couple of days ago told him that a remix he has done is so big is Australia, its being played all the time on the radio, and is expected to enter the top 40 dance charts in Australia too - I think we need to go over there and oversee it all, surely we can get a free holiday out of it if Paul's so big there!! Hopefully this will be his big break, and that he can get more releases in other countries - preferably the UK! Watch this space for more info!! =)

Wall-e

Paul and I watched this a few weeks ago at the Odeon Cinema, and we loved it! Its amazing how you can tell exactly how he is feeling and what expression he is doing, even though he has two metal eyes as a head! I don't know how they did it, but it was so appealing, one of those films that both adults and kids love!

He does really cute things, and its so sweet how he falls in love with Eva! If you haven't seen it yet, go and see it, I can't imagine there is anyone who won't like it!! And of course you will enjoy it even more if you do what we did and have a generous helping of Ben & Jerry's ice cream!

Chocolate Brownies!

On Friday on my way home from work, I usually stop at Asda and pick up a few goodies for a weekend treat! It normally consists of something for dinner, maybe pizza, a bottle of wine and something chocolatey! Although Paul requested Aero balls, which I got, I had the urge to do a bit of baking! So I decided to make some brownies. They are really nice, although not as gooey as I would have liked - I think I did something wrong! But they are nice all the same. Here is the recipe, but I didnt use walnuts cos I hate them, and they soo ruin the lovely chocolate brownies!!

Ingredients
100 gms dark chocolate

110 gms butter

225 gms sugar

100 gms walnuts

2 large eggs, beaten

50g flour

1/2 tsp baking powder

1 tsp salt

Method
1. Pre heat the oven to 180C (Gas 4), Chop up the chocolate into small pieces and chop the walnuts.

2. Melt the chocolate and butter on a low heat.

3. Mix in the melted butter/chocolate and sugar into a large bowl.

4. Add beaten eggs to the mixture.

5. In a separate bowl mix the flour with the salt and baking powder, then add to the main mixture.

6. Stir well.

7. Place the mixture onto a baking tray (greased).

8. Bake in the oven for around 30 minutes making sure you do not over cook it. The outside should be crisp with the insides remaining sticky.

9. Leave for 5 mins to cool, use some icing sugar to dust then cut into squares.

Serves: 15 pieces

Preparation time: 20 mins

Cooking time: 30 mins

Ok so the picture I posted up here is not the real picture of my brownies but they did look pretty much like them!
I am trying to resist just eating the lot as they are sitting in a Quality Street tin in the cupboard, it is very hard to resist them! haha.

first blog

I created this blog about me, and things that I like, and things I like to do!
It's currently Saturday early evening, and I have been busy most of the day! I went to town earlier to pop to Halifax and the Post Office, and went to Primark and New Look and bought a few items of clothing and some shoes and a hat. And a nice silver hairband from Claire's Accessories, they have such a big selection! The reason is because I have booked a TFCD photoshoot with a photographer in Lincoln. This is where aspiring photographers swap their time with people who would like some professional photographs taken, and could be added to a portfolio. So I have got a few new items of clothing for the shoot.
Back in April I signed up to a promotions and modelling agency called Delicious23, where they offer you any work they have on an 'as and when' basis. As of yet, I have not done any work for them, as they have not had anything suitable for me. It's frustrating because you can earn good money doing this sort of thing, and I'd like to do it on the odd weekend for a bit of extra cash! It involves work such as flyering, leafleting, promoting brands by wearing their branded clothing and giving out free samples, working at exhibitions, doing meet and greet and various other things. I think they have not found me any work yet because I do not have any professional photos to give them, whereas the other girls on their books do. That's why I have found the TFCD photographers, as I cannot afford to get a proper portfolio done!
The shoot is on Monday evening, so when they photos have been edited and sent to me, I will put some of them up on here!
